Day 4 - (10th July)

Comments from Colin's diary:
"I am starting to get into the swing of things a little bit better. One of the keys is to try and plan what food you are going to eat that day. If this is not practical you should at least have an idea about what you intend to eat for the next meal before opening the refrigerator door :-) Otherwise you can easily put far more food on your plate than you need. I realised that it is important for me to have some faith in the program and to just do what it says. I have also got used to drinking mainly water with the odd herb tea. I have practically eliminated tea and coffee from my diet without much difficulty."

Tip - "Try to drink less tea and coffee and drink more water and perhaps herb teas instead. This supplies proper liquids to your body to help digest your food instead of your body having to try and digest tea and coffee as well."

Here is what Colin ate on this day:
Breakfast
Small bowl of muesli and rice milk.
Small slice of wholemeal bread with a little olive oil.
A generous heaped tablespoon of cottage cheese.
A glass of filtered water.
Half a glass of apple juice and a heaped teaspoon of superfood
Two capsules of slimming formula.
Mid-morning snack
Banana.
Cup of herbal tea.
Lunch
Small can of tuna (tuna in spring water).
A bed of salad and baby spinach leaves.
Chopped up green beans.
Chopped up beetroot.
Glass of filtered water.
Two capsules of slimming formula.
Mid-afternoon snack
A tall glass of Lean Protein Plus made by mixing
the powder with just water.
A cup of herb tea.
Evening meal (see picture above)
Half a carton of Thai chicken soup.
Home made vegetable stew made up of the following ingredients:
1 fennel, 1 aubergine, 1 onion, 1 clove of garlic, 1 can of peeled tomatoes, 1 jar of vegetable sauce mix, 1 courgette, 6 chopped up mushrooms.
Gently simmered for approximately 30 minutes
(this makes enough for 2 people).
A portion of the cooked stew was poured over a bed of spinach leaves and sprinkled with organic bean and seed sprouts.
Half a glass of apple juice.
Late snack (if necessary)
none

Other
During the day I also drank a few other glasses of water.
Exercise - 20 minutes
